Jakyrin Jones, 14
Jakyrin Jones carries himself with quiet intensity and unwavering faith. Diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, Jakyrin faced setbacks that required him to postpone meaningful milestones, including a birthday trip to New York to watch the ball drop. What he never postponed was his belief in what lies ahead.
Now an eighth grader, Jakyrin dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer. He credits his strength and outlook to his father, whom he proudly calls his hero for his resilience, encouragement, and constant support.
For Jakyrin, the runway represents love. It reflects the love he feels from a community of supporters who stand beside him. His journey invites donors to witness the power of faith, patience, and perseverance at work.
